It's not pretty! Figure $2 for each mile on the car as a deduction off of MSRP in the first year. In your case: around $74k for trade in. Sell it to a private party if you want top dollar.

Interesting...I would look at it another way: you can get a NEW $90-91K 2005 E55 with zero miles for $75-78K. Why buy a used 2006?

I paid 68k for my 2004 E55 K2 w/ 23k on the clock (from a forum member), 100k MB warranty, integrated V1/Lidatek, etc in perfect condition. Find the right buyer and you can command somewhere in the mid - high 70's like L8Apex suggested.

Some might think I didn't get so sweet of a deal and others might think I got a steal... in my opinion, I got one hell of a deal.

Considering I sold my 2005 C55K w/ 13k miles for 70k buying my E55 K2 for 68k was a no brainer for me.

I know your deal, the memeber was going to trade it in with a porsche dealer in nyc, I put the two of you in contact and if i didnt have my e55 I would have bought that one. That was a good deal. You figure just the k2 and lsd alone are 10k. So you would have needed to find your cae at 58k to get the same deal. Good deal. I am just wondering if I am going to move on into something else or keep the E55 and add a 2006 viper coupe, or a z06 or if I should dump the e55 and get a ford gt or baby lambo. The problem is the E55 is one nice car and a true sports car is just that. where as the e55 is a little of everything.

They are under MSRP in San Diego. The hype wore off. Only a few dealers even try to add to the invoice anymore. The nicer thing (for me) is that there are more of them around for me to see.

Please PM me your local dealer who is selling under MSRP. All the dealers I have seen are asking well over MSRP ($5K-$10K) for 06 models that are already a year old. All ordered 07's (if you are lucky and the wait list is not well into 08) are asking nothing under MSRP.

Thanks for the help.

It has been almost 2 months since I was getting heavy with the Chevy dealers, but I'll look up the two that were giving me the best deals. I think it may be a regional thing as well. If you are willing to have one shipped, your best bet will be to contact dealers in LA. If you are wanting an '06, then just do a search from GM's website and it will tell you exactly which dealers have what. In California, waiting lists mean nothing. Keep in mind that it will cost you between $1K to $2k to ship it AND you will not have bought it at a local dealer. That is all up to you. Good luck in your search. I am not meaning to disrespect the Z06 but it is simpy a buyer's market right now. I don't think I know of ANY "commoner" car that is bringing in a premium right now. Even the M5s are now back to invoice at most dealers.

Let me know if you need more help. I would personally go into a local dealership and have them locate one for you. It is a very nice ride, and you will want to have a good relationship with your service department unless if you have that covered.
