The Private Lounge...Good?

I just signed up for the AMG Private Lounge on the AMG website. It looks quite nice but is there really anything particularly helpful besides the events section? The site is a little slow and sort of confusing but what I'm really looking for is some closer contact to AMG in Affalterbach. I'm going on a 6 week backpacking trip through Europe and I want to make a stop in Stuttgart to visit the factory. I would think that the site has some sort of provision for this (ie. potential visitors), but I can't find anything. Any help?

Contact your dealer. They can arrange everything and AMG is very hospitable. Many people have even arranged to go and meet the maker of their engines. Good luck and have fun. If you go, we'd love to see pics, although those are restricted.
If all else fails, call the AMG 800 number and they will help for sure.

That site is slower than a Toyota Camry with NOS in it.

Darn it!!! Can you guys please help me.....I have surfed all over the friggin site and kind find where you sign on. After Chappy got flown to Germany, I have been trying.

Okay, you type in the mercedes-amg.com website.....then click English of course...then the little video plays of the CLK-DTM......then the screen pulls up of options. I click on Lounge and it takes me to the Lounge page and I have three options. 1) Check out AMG Events 2) Check out Amg News 3) DTM Racing. Clicked all three and no place to sign up like Chappy.

PLEEEAASEE HEEELPPPPP!!!

It's a little bit light on activity, but I like the site quite a bit.

Thank God for Chappy posting on another forum. For all of you that can't find it either.

Once you're registered and on the site, go to this link for arranging a visit: http://www.mercedes-amg.com/privatel...read.php?t=165

More specifically, Private Lounge members get some special treatment when visiting:

"For guided tours of AMG, please contact us in advance (a minimum of 30 days) at: privatelounge@mercedes-amg.com. We will do everything possible to accommodate AMG Private Lounge members who wish to tour our facilities."

To view one forum member's experience, log on to the Private Lounge site and go to the "Lifestyle" heading at the top, then look at the first article under "People" ("Personal Account: A Tour of AMG in Affalterbach").

Ah, perfect. Thank you so much - I'll drop them an e-mail. Now, who do I call to place a complaint about my dealership...

Apparently Aussie AMG owners are not welcome here...

Our VIN numbers don't match their data base...

Chappy got there on his own dime. The rest was on AMG...still a great prize! The F1 Indy event works the same way.

100% correct. We were guests of AMG-Mercedes at the 2006 Laureus Awards in Barcelona.

My write-up and pics of the trip:

Haha, I think you misunderstood. I'm going to Europe with just a camping backpack full of clothes. No reservations, no luggage. It will be extremely low budget which will in turn make it an extreme adventure
