Question Pano roof One Touch Close & Headlight switch backlighting

I moved up from an '02 C32 to a used '03 E55 with Pano Roof and one feature that I really miss is the One Touch Close on the sunroof. I hate having to sit there holding the button during the entire close cylce. Dealer says this feature isn't available on Pano Roof models. Do the non-Pano E55s have this feature? Does anyone know of any way to get this on the Pano models? I've read in some other threads that differences exist between European and US cars for one-touch control of convertible tops. Any idea if European models with Pano roofs have some type of "two taps" feature to initiate auto-close? The only reason I can fathom that they got rid of this feature is the legal liability climate in the US.

Another thing that's "missing" on my '03 E55 is backlighting for the icons around the headlight / parking light knob. On my C32 the icons were all backlit, so you could look at it at night and easily see which setting the dial was on. On the E55 only the dial itself is backlit, so at night you can't see which setting it's on (aside from guessing by the relative position). Dealer says all E Class cars don't have this feature. Is this true? Seems like a poor place to cut costs.

Pano roof does not have a pinch-protector strip...so there is no one-touch close feature

As for the pano roof, dark star hit it on the spot. On the headlight switch, I am pretty damn sure that mine lights up at night time. It might just be a blown bulb or something back there. Take it back to the dealer and tell him to take a look since it sounds like he is talking out of his ***.

My icons don't light either I was wondering if this was just another oddball deal like the cupholder that doesn't really hold a normal coffee cup...can anyone else confirm if theirs light up...seems to me they should.

I've just went out to check....only thing that lights up is the position indicator which I circled in red.

Ooops...correction: Double check this time there are more icons that actually light up. There're all circled in the picture.
