Any suggestions on increasing throttle response?
I am wondering if anyone had suggestions for increasing throttle response. The 80mm TB definittely makes a difference but I am looking for more without changing my gearing.

I am concerned that it will make the gas pedal on the supercharged E55 very touchy and bring the power on like a light switch.
I was already getting that scary sensation after the "5-sec ECU re-set", but then it became smoother over a few days. The Sprint Booster is an electrical device that itercepts the signal from the gas pedal and recalculates the curve to give a more radical throttle response from the start. At USD 450 installed, it is fairly expensive.

I've tried the sprint booster and i don't like it. Not on the CLS55 at least, ... but I love it on my Golf GTI. Sure there is definitely more poke at low revs, but the power dies off way too early - above 4500/5000 rpms. I think they have since recalibrated the sprint booster for AMGs based on our feedback but I haven't tried it again. I don't think the sprint booster works favourably on all cars, but on most cars it does make it seem faster.

Here's a pic of the DMS pulley. Probably does the same thing as the other tuning companies but the DMS guy was in Singapore and it was easier for me to let him tune the car rather than send my ECU to Kleemann.
As for the MKB air intake, it replaces the rubber Y-pipe at the top of your engine that leads to the throttle body with an aluminium one. I did not see any difference in pipe diameter but I presume it did improve air flow as I noticed better low end after it was installed.

I dont think you will get much benefit out of this piece.. I looked over the 80mm Y-pipe (hard plastic like the stock one) before I installed it in my car and the inside is pretty smooth and has no obstructions. I dont think there is any point in replacing that piece.. However, replacing the 2 rigged hard rubber pieces that connect the airboxes to the Y-pipe might yield a slight improvement.

When I first compared the MKB pipe with the stock one, I was thinking the same thing. There seemed to be no difference. However, MKB claims 540bhp with just ECU and intake, which is the same output as other tuners' ECU and pulley upgrade. So I figured the intake had to improve airflow somehow to achieve this. And when I put it on I did feel a difference and the car was more fun to drive.

MKB optimised air intake
Here's what the MKB air intake looks like as requested. It comes with the metal Y-joint as well as the 2 rubber hoses on each side.
