ok, the verdict is in. Boys (and girls), this is a beer goggle thing.
A 4 feet away sort of thing. From 4 feet or more, its the bomb.
Look closely, and you'll see what I've been talking about.
Look dead center on this super high res pic and you'll see the uneven paint.
When the sun hits the Silver CF though... LORD it looks f'ing amazing.
I mean, just look at these pics.

THAT SAID, the paint job around the CF is poor as I noted, and I will have it
painted nicely by my painter when I redo the bumper this year. I have
spoken with them about all of this: Quality, group buy, etc. I just bought a
SECOND set of these (because I know I'll need another someday after some
bad dips I didn't see, and I don't want to go through all this wait and order
process again). I told them they had better make the 2nd set a LOT better
paint wise, or I won't recommend the group buy... which is true. So, in 3
weeks or so I'll have a 2nd set I can compare to the first (for those of you
who would like to see if QC goes up the 2nd time around).


Note about the silver or black front line: Its because the CF material doesn't
bend around the front... so its a top slice and a bottom slice, with paint
between them.

ALSO, the Carlsson lip is superior in material and worksmanship, by far. It's
more solid (not hollow) and I can tell it is waayyyy tougher when scrapes and
scuffs come to play. I can tell that the material on these will not be so
resilient.

Its cheaper, not as strong, and their painter sucks. Just for the record. I
don't want anyone whining and complaining if you have problems with Eurorev.

I wanted silver CF, so I had it done custom, and it shows (both in beauty and
flaws). YOU don't have to take that chance.

With all of that said... I LOVE IT! DAMN! WHEN THE SUN HITS THE SILVER
CF IT JUST GLISTENS WITH PERFECTION, ALL OF THE FLAWS FORGOTTEN.
THIS IS WHAT DIAMOND RINGS ARE LIKE FOR WOMEN.

Seriously, the front is amazing. Well, hell, I'll stop talking for once. Just look
at these pics. I've completed my "silverization" of this thing. It is unique,
classy, and I love it.

And that's how it should be!

I still can't see what you're talking about with the POS paintjob, even as close as your picture is. It all looks good to me. Are you going to hold off on the group buy recomendation until your next set comes in?

How did you end up smoking out your tail lights, BTW? I remember you spraying some stuff on, then taking it off because it sucked, but don't remember what you finally did.

 

Okay, now I see it. Hell, they should be embarrassed to send it out that way, and it shouldn't be too hard for them to do a better job on it next time once you call them and rattle them about it, dontcha think? Especially when they have a chance to make or break on a volume commitment from your forum friends!

 

Tailights... went with stickers by Sticker City until I tint them professionally like my other cars have had done... I'll go a tick lighter... but these stickers are pretty nice.

Damn, you made me go and figure out macro mode on my camera... here's the front paint problems I'm talking about... not nice, but you don't see it too much unless you're close or looking underneath... that's why I cannot recommend a group buy unless they clean up their painting skills. Thus the second set. I mean, I can have someone paint them nicely... just that little strip area... but we shouldn't have to do it. So, when the second set arrives I'll post again and let everyone know if the QC is better... that's why they are giving me the second set at the group buy price, even though there's no group buy yet...

Group buy price will be $600 a pair plus shipping and sales tax if you're in CA...

Dude, for a custom job it is a great first shot. They should have been better and that is a clear reflection on how they run the business. You, on the other hand have done a heck of a job.

It is indeed silver, unique, and classy.

 

How's the installation? Did you do it yourself?

 

Also, what cameras have MACRO mode?? I need a new one and obviously know nothing about cameras, but i want to be able to take close up pics to prove points. hehehe.

 

yeah, I installed all of it myself. Hell, I did the rear with Scotch super heavy duty indoor / outdoor mounting tape (4"s per lb of weight, I used about 80 inches.... I could practically tow something with it, its never coming off).

The front lined up with the holes I had already drilled for the Carlsson lip, so I just reused those screws (2" x 1/4" lock nuts / washers).

Like I've said before, the biggest pain is getting the front plastic apron back ON the car after you install the lip... hate that.

Camera: Most have macro mode now... little picture of a flower. I took all these pics with the kick *** 8.1 Sony DCS-N1. I love that little thing... I made all my videos with it too... and I have a stack of 2 gig cards for it. Very cool camera for anything quick.

this may be a stupid question, but why did they have to paint the bottom of the lip? the euroteck lip for the w203 w/the AMG bumpers are full CF top and bottom...

Loren to complete the silver-izing of your car you should get the Phillips Silversion Bulbs for your turn signals in the headlamps (look silver but blink amber).

 

Do any of you guys know if this will fit a s55? I have been looking for one for the longest.Btw loren it looks very nice. Goes with the car great.
