OT - 997 GT3 model configure?

Does anyone know how I can "build my own" GT3? I want to make sure I order one the way i want it.
Thanks

I use the Japanese website. Try the Great Britain website.

Is importing one the only way? If not, will the US ones have the same options?

thanks

Could this potentially mean bye-bye to the E55 or would it be getting a stablemate. If you bring in a GT3 no bikes are going to see which way you went up Palomar.
I'm sure you've heard this but...
997GT3 is meant to be much better on-road than 996GT3 due to its adaptive suspension, yet is still quicker round the track.
My 0.2 Rollcage is an option that has to be ticked
Will you delete the air-con? It takes a brave man in So Cal but saves useful weight
Did you consider the 997TT? If not, how come?
Also what's your 55 putting out? You'd miss that brutal straightline acceleration, not that the GT3 is wanting

20+ to list......
1 Vote for 997TT, but 997 GT3 is still an awesome car.

What about the 997TT? I think the torque curve flatlines forever in the midrange section. Straightline wise, 997TT > GT3.

No buy-buy to the E. It stays as the daily driver. I picked the GT3 for the raw handling. I love active suspension, so I hope to be able to mod the GT3 into a straight beast.

No to the TT simply due to handling. With mods as o like it, cost is too much.
We'll see. i may break and get one instead.

AC is a questin, right now i am leaning at removal, as all my older pcars and bimmers really got affected by it. The E doesn't care.

E is putting out stock now. RENN stage 5 soon.

Just what I was hoping. Beast for a daily driver and 997 GT3 in the garage is an unbelivable combo.
Now I understand why you're going for the GT3 ahead of the TT. If you only had one car, it would have to be the TT, but as you have a "slow little daily runaround" the GT3 will deliver even more of a drivers drive.
My 996TT was simply amazing, you'll have a hell of a time.
Not that it's worth much to you, but I vote for no air con either. Go big or go home!!
By the way, i'm not clued up on modding. What's Renntech stage 5 going to put out?

What mods are you thinking of for the GT3? Surely that thing's spot on stock...

No longer stock '06 E55, A3 3.2 Quattro, LRD4 HSE, R107 280SL
TT has got loads of torque and is more of a "GT" ... oddly the "GT3" is more track car to me ...

TT has less space for bags - GT3, oddly, has more space for bags...

Tough choice - but if you not sure GET BOTH !!!

Everyone raving about the VTG turbo's - lag almost non exsitent apparently...

I saw a white 997 GT3 this weekend and it was beyooootiful, but a little too spoiler'd out for my tastes. Wicked sounding car, although the only Pcars I'd ever buy have turbo's and awd. Rear engine/rwd is only for the truly brave.

Is th GT3 body kit the same as the cup kit of the regular 997? They look awfully similar to me

Jangy, you lucky dog! I'm still deciding what (if anything) I should do. To answer your question, no, you will not have to import the car. Porsche America has just not put it on the US website yet. The TT was only put on there about a month ago. Call a dealer and see if they have the order sheet, that way you'll see all the options. As someone else said you can check the Great Britain site. It should be pretty close, however I wouldn't order off of that. The US car will be getting a sun roof with no ability to delete while you can delete in Europe. That's just one example off the top of my head. Use it as a baseline only.

For drooling purposes

These are the wheels they should have put on the TT. I'm probably going to get a test drive in a new TT either later today or tomorrow. Funny thing is that the TT I'll be driving is also white. Will be fun to compare.

I think the GT3 is better looking which has mostly to do with the wheels and it being dropped. do the same to the TT and now you're talking!!

Unless you want to go directly to Germany and order it there at the factory, just pick your Porsche dealer here in the States and get the ordering information that you need directly from them.

Amen sir, amen. Buy the TT, drop it, slap those wheels on, and come pick me up.

Just re-read this. Where did you see it? It was either a 996 GT3 or a 997 with aero kit. The 997 GT3 is not out yet.

It could have been a test car, but I doubt it too. Doesn't the customer production line start in September?

The gt3 order guide is on rennlist.

What's the difference between 996 and 997 GT3?
Just PASM (which I've read is worth it by itself)?

I'll be modding the GT3 WAY more. No question TT would be the one and only. The GT3 is just gonna replace the Jeep (LOL)
