RE : TPMS sensor on rim...

If I swap out my rims - do the tyres have to come off to fit the TPMS sensor on the new rims , or can the refit of the TPMS be done without removing the tyre?

AFAIK tire removal is necessary.

The TPMS sensors will not fit every type of rim. The tire rack sells them though I believe the manufacturer is Beru. They might be able to tell you if the sensors will fit the wheels you are considering.

Tires have to be removed or at the very least deflated and the bead broken to access and remove the sensors.
