I'm looking for replacement bulbs for the running lamps. To me they look dull/yellow, especially when compared to the head lamps. Any suggestions?

Yes, just pop the hood and fish your hand behind the headlights. I don't remember if you need to twist the bulb to unlock it.

unplug wire harness from the socket, then twist the socket 1/4 of a turn counter clockwise

anyone try this with the fog lights as well? i almost always run my foglights when the headlights are on.

I'm experimenting with the Carlab HID retrofit kit for the foglights. I will do a complete report on it once its done next week. I currently have PIAA Extreme White Plus 9006 bulbs in my right foglight and stock bulb in my left (dealer replaced the cracked fog light but forgot to put my bulb but on....... since I'm going HID anyways, I just let this one slide).
