After a 4 month "vacation" in California, the '55 is back home. Here are some photos.......interesting story to follow.

Any dyno sheets? Also how come no fog lights on the front bumper? Congrats! Looks pretty mean.

The K8 Package includes the following:

Painted Engine cover
supercharger Stamp
Pully Kit
ECU Reflash

Basically it is the Equivilant of the Kleeman K1 Kit but I think that this is More Exclusive due to it being offered by Brabus hence the 13K Price tag

the k8 package will no douht put a smile on your face everytime you punch it.....i know it does it for me

.....its not bad, but for the money you can get a lot more done from different tuners......but its never going to be a brabus car. They carge the money for the exclusivity and for the name basically

I'm going to hit the track as soon as the engine is broken in (+-500 miles).
Just had the crank replaced when it's end was damaged.

Pretty much.....im in the process of doing some stuff to my dads K8....Im going to do the Blacked out theme on the silver car.........im going to black out the tails completely black to where its showing no red, just white and black and powdercoat the Stock 18's in black, put a 10% tint, and do the Blacked out emblems, and maybe a Black Front Grille

Hope the CF airbox you're working on will fit in there still!

It'll fit all right.. You'll have to basically replace everything you see under your hood that is red and all the black tubes going into the TB and the air boxes..

All of those pieces will be replaced with new CF pieces so they wont be needed anymore.

Just remember, Brabus just paints them red.. They are still completely stock airboxes other than the colour.

Here's the interesting story with Brabus. I had the K-8 kit installed over 2 years ago. Recently the crank pully loosened up and in doing so damaged the end of the crankshaft. The local MB dealer just laughed when he saw that an aftermarket part had caused the problems. His estimate to pull the engine and replace the crank and flywheel was north of $18k!

To Brabus's eternal credit, they paid to have my car shipped across the country, pulled the engine, rebuilt the lower half, and shipped it back all at $0 cost to me. They even picked up the orignal towing cost from my home to the NY MB dealer.

So you do get something for your $13k. You get a reputable company that stands behind their products even when they're long out of warranty!

Excellent-that's what I wanted to hear. I'll take the extra 20hp over the pretty colors any day....... besides the CF will look cool too!
