Depreciation Blues
Here's the dilema. Can buy a 2007 550i 7000 miles most options 4 year full warranty OR 2005 E55 12000 miles silver base car but CPO 3 1/2 years warranty, each $65,000. (and don't tell me to buy them both!)
What do you believe will each car be worth when traded to a Dealer in 36 months? Your opinions are important !!!!! What do you think ?

If I had to guess, I would say that the BMW 550 will be worth 30-35k in 3 years and the E55 will be worth 45-50k. Dealer trade knock another 5k.

I have to agree with Vic. I would base my choice more on the "fun factor" than depreciation. Let's face it, most of us buy cars because we like the way they look, drive and excite. I think the E55 would help you forget all about depreciation issues after mashing the gas pedal to the floor a couple of times. It worked for me.

2006 e55
imo if depreciation is the biggest factor, maybe a non high line would be more appropriate...ie vw....buy a car for 15k, most it can go down in 3 years is 15k.

If you are worried about depreciation, the answer is obvious. You can drive a (numbers are for entertainment purposes only) a 65-70K BMW for 65-70K or a 85-90K E55 for 65-70K. The E55 has already taken the majority of its depreciation. Buy it, drive it and enjoy it...you can always make more money.
