ok, finally spoke with Kathy at CA Speedway.... 9/1 is a no go... in fact, 8/21-9/11 THEY can't even be there because of all the NASCAR stuff. So, reversed the question... what FRIDAYS are available for rent from now until the end of the YEAR.

Only 3 days... so those of you that previously said you'd go, vote!

9/15, 10/27 & 11/17... that's IT!

Other days are available... weds & thursdays... but I figure Friday is the most desireable, no?

Spectators: NO organized event... but we CAN bring a couple friends per car to shoot video / pictures, tech help, etc. Also, we can have mutliple drivers per car, so these same friends can also be drivers... they will need to get a tech card while there as well... 2 guests max per car.

So, total attending: 30 or so max... 10 cars max...

I voted for 11/17.BUT Im down for whatever the date ends up being.Reason is I'd rather do this event when its the coolest out possible.People that are'nt familiar with the Fontana area,its hot,nasty,smelly,and the air just flat out is horrible to breathe....but Im ready when everyone else is of course.

Also, cooler weather. This means I don't mind being there from 9 to 5 under the sun and our cars will put down some better times.

 

I voted for the September date is because I have that Friday off. (9/80 schedule). October would work too. I guess any Friday will work but preference is to stick with pre-set off days.

Just an FYI, I'm one more unreturned call away from telling these people to blow me and take a hike... really, really bad phone habits and organizational skills. I am very turned off to even giving them money for anything at this point. Anyone else want to take the lead, be my guest... if they don't call me back by the end of the week, I'm done with them...
