earlier today my friend stopped by with his 2004 viper. i've been trying to get him to line em up for months.he would always make up an excuse not to run.i knew his car is faster i just wanted to see how much.we raced twice,first from a 40 mph roll(usually the perfect speed)up to around 100 mph or so,had my eyes on the road.unfortunately,he got me 3/4 of a car length when we had to let off.he was pulling on me slowly though.that 800lb. weight difference is apparent,not as bad an outcome as i was thinking he would get me by 2 cars which he may have if we had raced further.next from a deadstop ,again up to around 100mph.w/esp on and ruining my holeshot i jumped him a car while he spun when we let off i had him about the same 3/4 car length he had me,but he was definately reeling me in though.he is a decent driver w/best pass at the track was a 12.2@119 mph .he is one of my best friends so it was cool how we each won once,didn't help that before he stopped by my place i had been running it pretty hard on the way home from the gym;not to mention the temperature was already around 90 degrees. i figured it would be about this close but still sucks to lose any race even once.time to mod now.will probably do a quaife lsd to alleviate the esp interruption which i cannnot tolerate.for now i think i'm going to forgo the renntech ecu/pulley and do just the evosport headers,the reason is i don't want to generate any more heat and the headers will help somewhat w/the heat plus the car needs to breath a little more on the top end.i know ,i'll eventually end up doing the ecu/pulley but for now that is my plan

should be dead even or slightly ahead with ecu/pulley.... add headers and you should be ahead....
