would a k55 s1 (Kleemann Stage 1-ecu+pulley) be fatser than a new stock m5/e60 and e63 amg?

i believe a member ran a RennT stage1 and hit low 12's or high elevens on street tires.
But the interesting part, that his trap speed matched the M5's (118 +/-)
Stage 1 would be close, but I "think" the M5 will still run away after 125+.
But 125 is fast enough for me.. I don't want to go to jail.

i think that 63 owner is loving it, even to just get the jump on the 55 via reaction time! Agreed it doesnt tell a whole lot of a story, but its nice to see some footage popping up, im sure there'll me more conclusive footage very soon!! Does look like the short 1st gear of the 63 gets it moving pretty easily tho!

I must be missing something because I see nothing here, but a few short seconds of blurred footage from inside the E55. This video doesn't prove anything IMO.

20+ to list......
Seems like the guy in the 63 is a pretty good driver, good reaction time. If the 55 was stock, I don't think it can pull away from the 63 that easily. The 7G tronic definitely helps there with its closer ratio than the 55's 5. Anyway, if there's one video filmed by a thrid party, it would be a lot better.

at the light the E63 jumped first , i think its because he has a better grip stock brand new tires....but then...the video will say a million words.

since you made this video sure you have taken a video at the last light!! why didn't you upload that vid up? i know you beat the E63 all three times but i just want to clear one thing, the reason he pulled away so hard in this video is cuz the car was in Manual mood and my cousin was trying it out but at the last race there was a clearer picture of how the car performed. (although he beat the E63 in the last race but not even a full car length only half a car length)
please if you have a video of the last race upload it in the forum to share it with everyone

i agree that my reaction timing was bad since i am not in my city and this guy knows when the green light turn on....i dont....secondly my tiers where bad...i am not trying to make any excuses the E63 jumped first and regardles of the truck you can see how i was catching up....please dont jump into conclusions about people dont know how to race on a straight line especially...there is no certain techniq..unless you have a unique manual e55, that no one knows about

there was rematches but i didnt record it...sorry...but like i said there are alot of E63s around and only time will tell..

For the love of G*d will someone please take an E63 and E55 to a drag strip, attach some GPS based testing equipment, and get a side by side test done once and for all!
If not, surely the heads of current and prospective E55 and E63 owners are going to explode arguing about 10ths of seconds!!!
On the same drag strip on the same day guarantees similar atmospheric condition (especially important since comparing a supercharged versus NA car) while testing in a controlled and safe environment, and using the same driver with the same equipment will help eliminate other variables.
One day, one test, once and for all! And then we can all go back to the comforting cocoon we live in and think about how crazy it is we are arguing over 10ths of seconds when we already drive some of the finest engineered automobiles in the world...

.
The only true way to judge these cars is to have an experienced tester drive both cars back to back a few times on the same day and within the same hour (to prevent temp disparities etc) and on the same track, same lane, same tires etc and review the data. There will always be the question of wheather one of the cars was not performing up to spec; testing more than just one of each model or having them dynoed will address this concern.
It will be of no suprise to me that most of the magazines will show the 63 being 2-3 10th's faster 0-60 than the 55 (mostly due to the 55's lack of traction) but they will most certainly comment on the difference in low/mid range thrust from the torque difference and quite frankly that's what most of us enjoy and use here in the US.

come to the track and i will show you what reaction time is all about....i used to race bikes on the track when i was 16....when i am not on the track and on the trafic light that soooo many people in the city use i usually wait for people that try to catch the light before it becomes red and sometimes they run the red light and hit the crossing car..it happens alot and the guy with the E63 would agree...i was just being carefull and safe....and i hope all of you guys are in the same boat on safty....my ESP was flashing unitll 100 KPH on this race ...my tires need to be changed and still running rich on fuel...I have a pair of DR's in my garage and just waiting to slip on my back rims....whenever the E63 is ready ' even though it has 2k km and already having problems with performance' i will still race without even fixing the problems my AMG have....i was in the video and i am soooooo confident that he has no chance in the world to compete with the E55 K2....bring it on!!!...I will even give him a 1 car length jump start if he agrees on me slipping my DR's...
