I got her back this morning. I didn't drive her too hard since i had to get to work early, but i did punch her a few times & all i can say is WOW.

She feels a lot quicker, i mean a lot & a 100 times more responsive. I'll give her more of a go later on today. Way to go RENNtech!!

2006 E55 AMG
It may be true that MB will not honor the warranty due to damage allegedly caused by the modifications, however, there is very little chance that your MB dealer would be able to deny a warranty repair to you as a customer. That's why I had my E55 modded by a Renntech certified dealer before I even drove it. I'm not saying that you won't be in for a fight but it would be hard for me to believe that any trier of fact would find that the dealer did not "represent" MB to the customer such that the customer's expectation would be that the warranty would remain effective. I wouldn't worry about it. I don't.

Actually, i spoke to Active Autowerke, (BMW Tuner) they told me $150 for the dyno. I have no idea what's the average rate for a dyno. Is that too much or is that normal?

You should be able to get 3 dyno pulls for $50-$75 (at least in TX you can).

Dyno tuning is a whole other thing, but I don't think that is what you're looking for. You just want hp/torque and a/f listings on a printout.

Thanks. Yeah i thought $150 sounded a bit too much. I'll call South Florida Performance. It's by Cutler Ridge right? Thanks again.

they used to be located off US1 and 186 street..but they moved to a shop off 117 avenue in kendall.

if they dont work out, i would call Lujan and ask for Pablo.

MiamiE55,

Just wondering if you had time to Dyno the car yet? I believe my local dealership is Renntech freindly so maybe the Stage1 is in my future soon!

Hope you're enjoying the new power! Had any kills yet (i.e., Vipers etc.)?

Nick

I'm going to go by memory as I don't have the car anymore. I first did the Renntech stage 1 and wasn't all that blown away from it. I will admit that my expectations may have been a bit unrealistic - I have no idea what I was expecting! Some months later I did Kleemanns headers and I thought that the headers on top of the ECU/pulley was more noticeable improvement than the ECU/pulley over stock. I did switch to Kleemann's software but kept Renntech pulley, which Cory recommend I do since changing that would be money not well spent.
