PS2s lose pole position!

I had Michelin PS2s on my stock 18 inch rims and then put them on my 19 inch rims. I had the problem of waggle in the rear with the 295/30/19 size so I decided to go the 285/30/19. PS2s are not available in that size so I decided to get a whole new set of tires. Bridgestone Potenza REO50A is MUCH better then the PS2s! Smoother, quieter and more comfortable ride. They also feel softer than the PS2s when you stick your finger nail into the rubber. I don't notice a difference on acceleration grip or cornering. I am no longer a PS2 guy. Just my 2 cents.

Thanks for the feedback / review. I think I'll try a set of those tires the next time around (I just put on a set of SO-3 Pole Positions for the same reason, that the PS2s were unavailable in 285/30/19 - so far, I'm happy with them, though they seem to feel "harder" than the PS2s felt).

My experience with the PS2's and the SO3's is that the SO3's do ride a little stiffer....

dsc- Let us know what you think of the RE050's in another couple of months, would you?

How are the new ADVAN tires? I have only been hearing very good things about that tire...

I was going to get the Advan Sports but Tire Rack said they didn't perform as well as the REO50A.

I'm going to the dragstrip this weekend, I see how the REO50As do there.

the 285/30/19 PS2s come in batches... all you do is order them... even though they say backordered.... and then they come. Everywhere was backordered... and I called Kinesis and ask them to order for me... because they were a dealer, bingo, they suddenly appeared on my doorstep drop shipped from Michelin. Go figure.

I think you are spot on! I was running ps2's before switching to the RE050's.
I think the RE050 is a better tire for handling, noise and grip!.....not sure if it is as good in the rain though???

Be sure to give us a dragstrip report. I'm due to replace my factory Contis, but I want something that's going to be good from a dig On a sticky dragstrip I was able to run 1.7x 60' times with my stockers, I don't want to go backwards when i replace 'em.
