$400 for Service D?

I got my car back today from Service D maintenance. 9 quarts of oil plus the filter for $68 and $329.40 for the labor
17,000 miles, this is my 2nd visit for an oil change, shouldn't it be service B instead of D?
The service advisor told me they did another reflash due to some air injection pump recall.

Service D? Must be Service B because that's what it costs. Where did you go for the service?

Have you noticed a lack of power or anything with that recall like other members here?

I had it done on the E55 and it still lights up the rear tires. Just wondering.

Hmm, I just did an oil change at 18824mi. The dash said service D but the bill says service B. $273 with coupon ($331 without). That was oil and filter. $197 was for labor!

I went to MBSD for service. It feels smoother after the 2nd reflash, it could of been me since I drove the 230 loaner for couple days. They did a bunch of recalls for this visit as well.

Hey I guess we just missed each other yesterday. I dropped off my car at around 10am. My friend just called to say he just finished with it. No recalls on my car except NAV. Surprising.

Like Jeff said, it might be in your head.

HAHA!! You went to Alfonso, huh? was he cool? Dude, I take mine in every 6K miles for that $200 oil change.
Did you ask him about any other stuff to see what he'd say? i'm taking mine in soon and I'm going to see if they will do some of the Star "mods" at my cost. We'll see.

You gotta friend there, too?? Hook a brother up. I don't want them to do anything shady, just some basic stuff through star and all (camber bolts). I don't mind paying, i just don't want the snub.

Let me talk to him about that. I don't think bolts will be a problem but might be a little strict on STAR use outside normal stuff. I just didn't want some "unknown" working on my car.

You know what? Even if he ain't down with star, having a dude that cares about his work and can always be the one I talk to will surely help. let me know bro. thanks.

Why would you go to MB for an oil change? $100 at your local foreign car place

To save $100? NEVER. Getting an MB tech to look over the car is easily worth the money to me.

it's not saving $100, it's saving $300. The car basically diagnoses itself for important issues. Beyond that it's greasing fittings blah blah. I'm pretty sure a foreign car tech is capable of that, but it's your money.

You sure they do the oil change and the grease fittings (on my car?) blah blah blah for $100? Make sure they use Mobil 1. My dealer charges me $200, so the savings is $100. Jay didn't ask me to get him a discount.

Question

I just had service D last week and it was completely covered by warranty, including all new belts and SC pulley assembly.

Yep, our 03s and 04s have full maintenance. The later cars did not come with this.
