(Emergency) Need some serious help guyz!!!

I bought the xenon headlights and just installed it today~
Its the whole kit from Hella Germany which i found on the Ebay...(OEM parts)
My car came with every option except the xenon package (Dealer guy forgot it~i know its ridiculous~ )
So i put it on and here comes trouble....It works fine when the engine not on but when i turn on the engine, it starts flickering or blinking (whatever u guyz like to call it) like crazy~~any clue??? any tip for installation???
Maybe i need to reprogram my ECU ??? Thanx ~

P.S: here's the link where i got my lights from...

They will flicker like that until someone with a StarDiagnostic Computer reprograms your car to tell it its using Xeons now.

Your dealer should take care of this for you. Takes all of 5 minutes.

Yea you should go to the dealer and have it re-programmed. Also put a relay switch between the lights and where you draw the power from because you don't want to burn any wires or fry your electrical system which could cost you thousands of $$ because when you first turn on your lights they draw tons of juice. Good Luck!

You should have purchased the entire bi-xenon light assembly and had ur current lighting setup replaced. Its risky business going aftermarket on such an expensive car. Steve would be able to help you out on that....

But to answer your question, probably the reason why it flickers is because the ECU isn't programed for Xenons. You need to have it set to XENON=PRESENT.

I encounter the same problem now. Did you get it fix? Does it just need programming?

You guys need to hook the car up via StarDiagnostics, and set it to Xenon Present. After that it wont flicker and will function like OEM. The dealer could do it for you.

The best thing to do is to go to the dealer and have them reprogram it so that it recognises the Xenons, then will be fine.

I know you can have xenons added, but I was told it is fairly intricate to get the full oem effect (i.e. active lights). You all sure it can be done? Also, not only do you need to tell the car it has xenons, you need to replace the wiring harness, or you will start a fire.

Fire!? Can you elaborate more? I thought HID draw less power? Would the same apply if you install HID fogs?

Not a big deal provided the dealer is cool. Mine and many others did the same thing.

When I setup the Xenon's in my E500, I found the the BEST thing to do was go to the dealer and have them switch the setting in Star. Only takes a sec.

I used the "cooling fin unit" on mine instead and it scared the hell outta me. That thing was always just BLAZING HOT. Forgot what it was called...but trust me, dealer is MUCH better.
