you can install a boost gauge, but it's not a simple "T into a hose" and get a reading, you have actually drill and tap a hole somewhere else....

I don't have it bookmarked, but there is a thread here that shows where the tapped into..... I think you can also hookup a OBDII reader, and get boost readings on a laptop/palm pilot....

A digital OBDII version tapped into the OBDII port is the cleanest and easiest install.
YOu can install the boost display in the compartment where the power adptor / ashtray is. So when you want to view boost its visible ... some guages display a few items ... that you can toggle to display.

This is an example of what I meant - I just dont know if an MB compatible version is available yet.

Dont waste your time with OBDII boost gauges..
OBDII data acquisition is very low priority on the bus and the update interval is so long that the data you are seeing is too old to be meaningful.
The only way to do this properly is to drill & tap a 1/8" NPT into 1 of the intake manifolds and hook up the gauge to that.
ALL OF THE VACUUM LINES on the supercharger are PRE-COMPRESSOR so you will never see anything but vacuum if you tap into them.

Well we will see the ScanGuage 2 has a variable refresh rate (slow, medium and fast) and am checking now to see what exactly this means ...
It does display manifiold pressure as welll as IAT's amongst the following 12 possible guages.
» Fuel Economy
» Fuel Rate
» Battery Voltage
» Coolant Temperature
» Intake Air Temperature
» Engine Speed (RPM)
» Vehicle speed (MPH)
» Manifold Pressure
(not available on some vehicles) (i.e. N/A cars)
» Engine Load
» Throttle Position
» Ignition Timing
» Open/Closed Loop
What I would probably use are IAT's, Manifiold Pressure, Engine Load and ... Ignition Timing to see if higher RON fuel advances ignition at all....
Can't really ask for more than that. The only killer may be the refresh rate ... but holding thumbs... not sure when it arrives. I read somewhere that the refresh rate is dependant on the query rate ... if you query at 10 per sec you will get 10 samples per sec. That will be fast enuf for me.....

Edit : I read ScanguageI had a max refresh of 2x/sec - which aint bad ... dunno if SGII is any faster at max speed.

its not bad
I actually really like the scangauge II. I love the fact that its small and I can throw it on my windshield like a radar detector. I usually use load, rpm, IAT, and IGT.

ScanGuage and other OBDII scanners will NOT WORK on your car if you had the recall ECU update performed.. They block all the live data pages with that update.
If you didnt have the recall and it is still saying connecting, then, there is a different problem. Try turning off other equipment in the car (audio, video, a/c, etc)... OBDII is on the low priority bus and could be timing out with the responses that the unit is expecting.

connecting ...
I don't know if you have the recall or not ... but the first time you connect the scangaugeII to your car it will take some time to connect. Afterwards it connects almost immediately. It should be explained in the tiny manual they sent.

If the 55 has a new software update, is there any way to reactivate the live data out..?
Also guys, how can I display the software version to verify if the update actually exists?
Thank's...
