Mobil 1 oil question for E55

Our E55's as with all Mercedes these days come with factory filled Mobil 1. Does anyone know how many quarts our E55's take and which grade of Mobil 1 is used from the factory 0W-40, 15W-40 etc. etc. ???

Don't know the quarts but they mentioned 0W-40 last week at the dealer.

25K and the motor was clean as a whistle......Mobil 1 ROCKS!!!

I use 0W-40 in the 430. If you look at a bottle of OW-40 and flip it over, it says its approved for use in Mercedes and Mercedes AMG models.

The amount is stated in your manual.

You guys might want to check those quantities.

On the S55, the quantity is 7.9 quarts. It's half a quart lower than the std. 500 motor because of the windage tray in the oil pan. I'm pretty sure the amount is the same in the E55.

How the heck do you check the oil in these things.

Do you really have to get it in dyno mode to check???

No way to check in regular screens right??

It is within the regular screens.. one of the menus. Use your steering wheel controls to navigate. It tells you to make sure the car is level...

I agree, 9 is heavy, mine took a little over 7 full quarts the last time.

I just returned from my dealer and they told me it's a little over 8qts. and they ofcourse bill for 9qts.

Can anyone confirm the oil filer part# for the E55.

I have this part # A 000 180 26 09

Can anyone confirm if this is correct for our E55 motors??

Thanks again for all the help.
