Mobil 1 oil question for E55
Our E55's as with all Mercedes these days come with factory filled Mobil 1. Does anyone know how many quarts our E55's take and which grade of Mobil 1 is used from the factory 0W-40, 15W-40 etc. etc. ???

I use 0W-40 in the 430. If you look at a bottle of OW-40 and flip it over, it says its approved for use in Mercedes and Mercedes AMG models.
The amount is stated in your manual.

You guys might want to check those quantities.
On the S55, the quantity is 7.9 quarts. It's half a quart lower than the std. 500 motor because of the windage tray in the oil pan. I'm pretty sure the amount is the same in the E55.

How the heck do you check the oil in these things.
Do you really have to get it in dyno mode to check???
No way to check in regular screens right??
