Friday Night Drags - More timeslips

I went out to US41 for a few runs Friday night.

Best run was 12.401 @ 111.98 MPH

Most runs looked like this:

Reaction --- +.0859
60 Ft. ------ 1.8949
330 ft ------ 5.2960
ET@594ft -- 7.5769
1/8 ET ----- 8.0901
1/8 MPH ---- 87.69
1000' ET --- 10.5030
1/4 ET ----- 12.5269
1/4 MPH --- 111.73

Traction was *****e. Instead of getting better as more rubber was laid down, it got worse as the front-drivers dragged water all the way down the track.

front-drive burnouts <-

The last run of the night was the worst. I was slipping halfway down the track, pedalling the whole time to avoid getting pinched by a Cobalt SS with drag radials. I managed to squeeze out a sad 13.38 @111.97 to his 14.18 @99.51.....but I only won by .644!!!

All in all it was an interesting night. Quite a few people came over to peer at the beast after a string of mid-12 second runs (faster than the 03 Cobra that wouldn't line up w/ me. )

The best moment was when I treed a low 9-second car, glanced over, and saw his front wheel hanging about 3 feet off the ground while he passed me.

Pure power.
