Just checking to see if the E55 brethren (and the 911) want to do another run around Palomar mountain this weekend?
It would be fun to get some new blood in as well. I'll also re-open my challenge to the La based challenged as well. I'm sure we could find a nice set of twisties that is close enough to LA and San Diego, if there are any takers??

All depends on the day. You play at your own risk. The area with the twisties has quite a few cruisers and the stretch where we hit top end usually has a plane patrolling. That is the only reason why I don't go down that road more than a few times a month (at best).
On the lighter side, you can typically run into an assortment of cars and motorcycles. Many auto enthusiast clubs do rides through there and it is kinda fun walking the whole pack. There are also quite a few exotics that come through. I ran into a Carrera GT last weekend. Wish I could say it was a kill, but the guy was just barely playing with me. We didn't even get to any straights where he would feel comfy enough to open it up, so I was a little sad.

I was actually going to wait til all the dust settled and ask Loren how his experience with the drag track was. I would be into getting a twisty track for a day?? There is that whole wrecking thing that we would have to work out, but I think we could somehow set it up to favor my car??

 

The canyon deal does sounds fun,but the ticket deal isnt good.Being the baseball player that I was I cant afford anymore strikes,ya no what I mean.

I might be hitting Qualcomm Friday night with Jay55 though.

I know what you mean with the cops. I've been lucky. One ticket in the past 2 E55s. Not bad, or it just means I'm due.

I definitely agree with the not being last bit. I've had quite a few friends get snagged as I happenned not to see behind me.

Hey R, no need for you to buy. You don't owe us anything. Just sharing the love of the sport and I can tell you being hospitable is just how we roll (Jay, Ling, and Jeff included). Good vibes all around. Just bring your buddy in the GT, cause I am ready to be in awe. I'm also curious to see how well you do now that you've been once. With time (especially getting your shift points down), your car will be a terror on that route.

Hahaha....I don't know how convenient it is having to work on a weekend but on the positive side there is no Chargers game I'll miss because of it.
