CL65 wheels?

will the wheels from a cl65 fit the 211 E55? I am looking at a set of 19's in the dark titanium and think it would look great with my tectite e55 and then i can finally goto steve and lower it via star diag.

Any opinions?

thnx

As far as I know the CL65 wheels won't fit an E55. I'm running SL65 wheels right now with no problems.

I am looking at a set of 19x8.5 up front and 19x9.5 in the rear. Still waiting for seller to get back to me on the offset.

If offset is 30 and 31 will I be ok? and ok to lower with that offset?

No, I think you should reconsider. a 9.5 with et of 31 will rub, depending on tire size. I'd almost say that even a 275 would rub. The fronts may be fine, I dunno. Again, it may be too aggressive, if anything. The inside will be fine on both.

My rubbing issues don't really show in just lowering, but in throwing the car around. No problems there, or do you not do that?

I am running OEM right now. I run the 18X9 from the rear on the front and a 18X9.5 from a CLS500 in the rear. The front is PERFECT with a 275 on it. The rear needs more et. I shaved an extra 1/8th inch off, but it is still close on EXTEREME compression.
I will have no rubbing at all after the switch. I am paying so I can play. HRE will be fitting the car to get the optimal offset. It has been too hard to find rims with the offsets I want. It is really a win win for everyone. I get the wheels I want and HRE gets the stats for the most aggressive size on our cars so they can sell it to everyone (not just locals).

Then I doubt you'd have any issues even if you did lower it. My rubbing doesn't really matter about ride height. If it rubs it rubs in the turns only. This new RENNtech module has been great for testing different levels / rake. It is amazing how the handling can be changed by a simple switch.
