I remember reading about instances of cars being sold and the car's owner's forum posts being reviewed to see how the car was treated. One person had trouble selling theirs because there was a video posted online of him catching air off a railroad tracks rise.
Aside from that any car i buy is going to be gone over by my brother in law who is a mercedes dealership master technician.

Mine went from being our weekend toy to my wife's daily driver, no thanks to the **** poor quality of her VW Touareg. The VW has been having so many problems, that we decided she would just drive the E55 until we trade it in on the ML320 CDI we ordered (should arrive mid-October).
Its cool to know that a car I bought to spoil myself and has run consistent 12s at the local dragstrip is now serving double duty chauffering my son around and running errands.
I know I'm gonna take a hit when I sell it (even though I bought it used to avoid an even bigger hit), but its by far the best all-around car I've ever owned.

Guys, I just bought an 04' E55, and this is a little misleading... Cars in the $40's HAVE ISSUES...... they are either Lemon Law buy backs, salavge title, etc,etc...
