Thanks!

I'll be doing the fix with my local mechanic...

I have extended warranty through Easy Care but the deductible is $200. I'm sure I can do it for less.

Thanks for all of the prior posts. I just took out my E55 (actually my finace's car since I gave it to her.... what was I thinking??? I'm stuck with a 6000 lb Escalade) and found a red puddle under the car. Looks like a trip to the dealer is in order. Still under warranty and the dealer is 2 minutes away..... hopefully just seal.

This seems to be common becasue my dealer replaced the same seal recently and it wasn't even leaking. The car was in getting the kompressor clutch replaced.

Got the car back from service yesterday. The tranny seal was leaking, repaired under warranty. Dealer also repaired valve cover seals and gaskets under warrarnty as they were leaking as well. Car got a clean bill of health. Total cost 0.....

I replaced the plug and seal and changed gasket and the issue is not resolved..

I'm going to make an appointment to the dealer.. I'm thinking is something to do with the valve...

speaking to a mechanic, he thinks I over tightened the screws, squeezing the gasket and causing a leak..

the leak is noticeable under load.... climbing a hill or holding 3rd gear or 4th gear too long..

i can see the smoke on my rear view mirror..

Strangely enough, i didn't use my car for 2 weeks and have the same problem this afternoon. Seems like its common problem once the car is not running.

last night.. I had no fluid drops on the floor

if I drive the car without loading the transmission too much.. and it seems I have no issue

only under load.. going up a hill or really pushing the car... thats when the smoke appear and once I park.. its spotting the floor.

any ideas?

just document my situation for (future forum use)

no spotting on my garage door recently, but I have not driven the car hard lately.. (my wife has been driving it)

I can smell the fluid burning every time the car comes in the garage.. but is just burning the remaining fluid on the pan and the exhaust.

my exhuast reso, pipes and even mufflers have stains from the fluid..

to date the fluid starts dripping under load.. any ideas what would cause the leaking under load?

when inspecting the car with a lift.. you can see the fluid is coming from the bolts or its makes its way to the bolts.. but I can't tell its origination.

I changed the electrical connector piece and seal.. and that has no sign of leaks.

Maybe the gasket is too tight? and no able to cope with the pressure? my bolts are not working as good?

I would like to take it to the dealer, but I will have to use my extended warranty deductible of $200.. but will have to pay to diagnose the problem upfront and see if it qualifies.

2005 E55 Wagon
Do not mean to bring back an old thread. But, the seal on my tranny connector blew. It was leaking fluid on the hot exhaust and O2 sensor. At first, I thought it was the engine or something as there was light blue smoke from the exhaust. Upon closer inspection, it was just a $40 leaky connector.....thank god! Post 25 provided the part number and pic. Thanks.
