Dynoed the 63 today...
Well, I figured you all would like to know to...
Made 421.6 rhwp and 411.12 rwtq.
Dyno Graph...take the numbers and multiply by 1.15 to get Dynojet numbers...

The only problem is the conversion to dyno jet numbers. I would go out on a limb and say that the horsepower difference should only be 15 to 20 rwhp. A difference of 50 + rwhp between the two dyno brands is way off imho.
Either way congrats on the new ride and thanks for posting the dyno.

You could call and ask DynoDynamics yourself as we did in Australia to get these conversion factors.
I dynoed my E55 on the same dyno and it made 439.8 rwhp and it had K&N Filters, resonators cut off with custom X-pipe, and the snorkel mod...

I was about to ask the same question plus what does this mean "resonators cut off with custom X-pipe".
Did you remove either of the cats? If not you should have very little improvement over stock. From what I've read stock HP on a dynojet is between 400 & 420 RWhp.

E55 Information
This is with the conversion factor. It made 382 on the DynoDynamics, multiply time the 1.15 and you get the 439 horsepower.
Also, here's a picture where the resonators were cut off (****THIS WAS ON THE E55 NOT THE CLS63!!!!****). Don't know how much a gain it gave, mainly sound, but I was just throwing that in there.

And the snorkel mod is where I think you put the SL's snorkel on the E55 because it's larger and gets more flow (car came this way).

comparing your CLS63 dyno to my recent E55 dyno on the same dyno (no adjustment to dyno jet numbers)
My E55 dyno (stock) 410rwhp and 450rwtq
Your number sounds right in line with the other 63 dynos
I dont believe the adjustment to dynojet numbers is true.

Has anyone used a Dyno to confirm any gains with the snorkel mod (p/n# A 1130942182)?
For $12 bucks I'd do it! Or is this just some urban legend that's suppose to make our E55 faster?

Here are some pics I just took...
1st pic is p/n # of passenger side
2nd pic is passenger side
3rd pic is driver side which shows the slight difference in shape

1.15 not true at all. Even power loss from drivetrain is incorrect. I've dynoed identical car on loading dyno and dynojet on same day. the max HP was only a few HP off but the rest of the curve was shaped totally different. The Loading dynos show high end HP peaking much later in the rpm band versus the dynojets. Dyno Dynamics is probably the worlds most accurate dyno though, and its the most realistic to what you are making on the street. so those numbers are as close as you are going to get to real world conditions (unlike dynojets which can be inflated at times).

20+ to list......
Nice numbers, which gear did you dyno it in? According to the 7spd tranny, the gear that gives you the most accurate results would be 5th.

His numbers also confirm that the 63 makes slightly less power than the E55. The mods he speaks of shouldn't add anything. The "snorkel" could not possibly account for 30 HP. Even if you call them even, the 55 either makes more than the advertised 469 HP, or the E63 does not make 514 HP (current AMG "claim").

2005 E55 AMG
Note that Matt will also be attending the Atlanta AMG Meet Nov 4th & 5th, where he'll be doing pulls on a DynoJet, along with other attendees (see https://mbworld.org/forums/showthread.php?t=163006).
Should be instructive, since we're talking about comparing results at the same dyno, same day.
Yes, I know the Dyno Dynamics and Mustang equipment simulates real-world loading, but I'd much rather see same dyno/same day side-by-side comparisons than deal with conversion factors.

Not the same day, but the same dyno and his results are:
E55 382 RWHP
E63 366 RWHP
Factory ratings:
E55 469 or 476 HP (i've seen both)
E63 514 HP

I know this had been a real hot debate, but I just didn't like snorkel mod, plus my snorkel popped off at the worst time....at the track. Sucked piping hot engine air and KILLED me at the track.

SolidGranite, Two guys in Florida raced their CLS's (a CLS55 and CLS63), both were very close each time. The 55 may have won given the driver of the 63 had never dragged before. Go to the CLS55, CLS63 forum and take a look for yourself.
