Some of us current and previous E55ers wondered what the new CLK550 would be like
Well I drove one today and it's freakin fast!!! I believe the car only weighs about 3600 lbs and with 382 hp and 389 lb ft of trq the car just flies. The lovely 7 speed screwed up during the test drive making a hard loud clunk into first gear when coming to a slow speed stop 
; will MB ever learn??? From a seat of the pants feel I'd look for 0-60 in about 4.6 and trap speeds of 108+ considering the E550 does 4.8 and 106 and is quite a bit heavier...

that loud clunk is what my 05 E500 was doing right before they found the metal shavings in the tranny with only 7000 miles on it! HA!! So glad I stepped up the the "BEAST"
