I remember seeing one of these remotes bidding on ebay a while back. You can just order the remote from your local dealership.

I think the comand unit is already setup to use it. I think they are about £90.00 in the UK, so you are probably looking at about $150.00.

the remote works out of the box. Nothing is necessary to get it working. IT will also control a rear monitor if you have one intalled.

.............the comand remotes are available for cheap on German ebay. No need to wait till christmas. Here is a link to one. I've had one now for 5 years. If you have other adio/video devices in your car, simply buy a learning remote control and have the remote signals "learned" into your learning remote. This allows you to use one single learning remote control to control all a/v systems in your car including comand and non mercedes devices including rear monitors. Full integration in the palm of your hand without need for sameness in manufacturer of the devices.

thats neat. i've always seen what looks like an infrared window on the comand but i thought it may have been a light sensor.
