I wanted to get a personalized tag in California and was rejected. i even petitioned and was rejected again!! I tried both of these:

The website accepted EFIFTY5, so I paid. Then a letter came saying it was deemed a "gimic". I appealed and said that it was related to my car model and NOT my intentions to make fun of the speed limit. They responded with a sorry and now even the website says no.

Try using the website to make a plate with the Kid's symbol on a standard plate. No dice. I tried to get C *hand* *hand* when I was doing mine. That didn't work either. Only one special character allowed.
