arent the stock rears 9.5?

actually the widest recommended for a 9-9.5 is a 275
285s are recomended for 10-11 (why no 9.5)
295s are recomended for 10-11.5

sorry, i ****ed up (again )

The stocks are 8.5 in the front and 9.0's in the rears. Actually I think that putting 295's on 11.5's are too small. You get where the wheels protrudes past the the tire. I have seen numerous times on potholes where 295's on 11.5 the wheels have been extremely damaged, because there was not enough tire sidewall to absorb the shock.

Thats just my opinion.

I thought you got shiny (chrome) aftermarket wheels.... (you were moving that time)... could be my bad eyes... it was around 7/8PM when I saw you.
Hey buddy,

Where you driving the S class AMG. I remember someone going the opposite direction after I got off the freeway. It was around 7:00.

Looks great!!!!

But do those front tires hit the fender while turning and going over bumps?? Looks like they might in certain situations.

No, I'm not old enough to drive S class (sorry, S-class owners... no offense ). I was driving my beater car to go to Ranch Market in Newark.

My other cars are E & C AMG.... both black. I'll honk when I see you again.

I see quite often a black S65 and silver SL55 w/ smoked taillights (darker than stock one) and chrome wheels.... not sure who they are or exactly where they live. Posted couple times here and no reply Seems not a member here.

Never. I have been running 275s on the OEM rear rims fitted to the front and even when the car is MAX dumped there is no issues. NONE!! There is acually room left over. It has to do with how the angles shift as you turn the wheel. If it just rotated on a single axis, then maybe but as is NONE. I recommend ANYONE with an E55 to try it out just to see what some grip on the front feels like!!

Nope, our rears are 9 inches and yes 275 is the max "recommended". I've seen 285s on them and it works, but you get a really sloppy ride.

Personally I would raise the rear slightly to make the wheel opening frame the tire a little better. As it sits now in the picture it's not symetrical around the tire.

Actually it is slightly higher in the back. With this airmatic when you shut the car off on mine at least the rear lowers itself a bit. When on and just sitting there it is fine. I will take new pictures for everyone to see.
