New Daily Driver a "two for"
I just got a new daily driver, an Alpine White 2007 BMW TT 335i. I love the "Daily driver/Beater" nature of this car and the Beast E55 for the weekends. When will we be able to post PIC's again???

Not on mine they won't!!!
After seing what happened to the E55's on this board, I'm going to send them a registered/certified letter demanding that they cease and desist from performing this reflash on my 335i period. I will also get a dyno done before I take it in for any service!!

The VPC probably already did the flash on your car. Most people experienced a 20-30 hp loss after the flash. See e90post.com for more information

Mercedes is gone physically, but still in my heart.
My friend just picked up the 335i and got it dyno'd. It actually came out to 340hp 340tq (crank numbers of course) as a stock car. His car is the guinea pig for the northeast so they've been doing a lot of work and I've been told that they're working on a chip (similar to the type the TT S4 used) which will see gains of around 80hp 80tq. It's quite a ridiculous car. And that navigation system in it...makes me jealous.

i'm getting a coupe next year as well... (probably around spring time)
I need to see a bit more tuning options from Dinan, AA and Vinshu.
330RWHP is not going to be a problem for this engine and transmission.
But mentioned before, the engine block will only handle so much boost.
335i will replace my C32 and the E55 will be my family cruiser as well.

It'll only be a matter of time before the load limiter gets figured out. It is lame that they're doing that though. I have a couple of friends that are master techs at Harloff here in SD so I'll try and pick their brains on that subject and let you guys know what I find out.

i was thinking of 3 series as well. actually was looking into an 03-04 M3 but with those numbers the new "3" will be putting a hurt on the M3. I may have to go take a test drive.
The sw upgrade on the Audi S4 was incredible except for lots of blown turbos. Audi actually quit warrantying (depending on location) the replacement as it was getting out of hand if they suspected the car was modified. Shop time was an estimated $5K-$6K

After a quick conversation with my friend he says that he is not aware of any load limiter restriction on the 335. The only limiter he is aware of is on the M5 which does not allow you to rev past a certain RPM (4k?) for the first 1200 miles. They require you to bring the car back in to have it removed once you hit that mileage otherwise you're stuck with a 250hp $100k car.
Could it be similar to the E55 ordeal in that the car needed a period to readjust?

Hmm... interesting. Was that a demo car? The dealer removing it early would be the only thing I can think of. Otherwise who in their right mind would buy that car without having driven it first?
