not sure if the controversy is the problem more that the economy is not the greatest right now nuttin is sellin to good. i live in cali where the housing market is always great its now under good.

 

Does anybody buy into the theory that the 55-series cars had such a following, and the reputation of the blown 5.4 liter motor was well known enough that many buyers opted to stick with the tried-and-true instead of the latest-and-greatest?
I know that is exactly what influenced my buying decision. I wanted the 55, despite the minor chassis and braking improvements in the 63's.

for people like me who can just afford these cars it probably plays a big role. im just the kinda guy that dosnt care and will spend my last penny on something i want, if i need it or not.

Too bad that second one has that plaque from the dealership on it, I think that is the worst thing a dealership can do to a car. I guess they realize we take off all the plateframes! With regards to the third one....are there many people out there buying E AMG wagons in US?

I hate it so much that I won't buy a car from a dealership that does it even if they offer to remove it. I've never heard of this dealer but it could be one of the worst ones I've seen... Who the f*ck would want "A Dick Dyer Original" on their car anyway?

 

Bought my car from Dick Dyer and removed that stupid plaque the minute I got my car. Came off without a hitch. Was on there w/ a mild adhesive. Never left a spot.

Ohhhh my goodness...that plaque is an absolute ABOMINATION!!! What would possess this guy "Dick" to act like such a...well, you know. The plaque doesn't even look decent. It looks like complete crap!

 

Of course...AMG is not stupid to make New model slower then old one...1/4 is not the end world...some cars like M5/M6 or even E63 now pull harder on TOP and have more power at the wheels at higher speeds...

But Low end Torgues of 55 Kompressor is addictive...
