If we were to hit one of those in Australia, and was in one pice... would of made a good excuse to call the mates around for a Barbi.
Yeah, getting board of Roo and Crock these days, Bambi would be exotic...Mmmm
So anyway, did you end up munching on it?

Here in The Netherlands the police recommend you take the deer with you so you can sell it to a game butcher. That way you can pay for (some of) the repairs to the car in case insurance does not pay out.

Wayne,
Glad to see no major damage was done. Most people do not realize the problems caused by Bambi and company. Deer destroy nearly $1 billion worth of U.S. crops, timber and landscaping annually. And each year they cause most of the 500,000 animal-related vehicle accidents that result in about 100 fatalities and $2.5 billion in damages. My town hires sharpshooters annually to thin the heard in our area.
Also, was the gun on your person or did you have to go into your house to get it? I'm just making a mental note as to the danger of cutting off an E55 when traveling through your neck of the woods.

Mother****
I was out on appts all AM. Heading home around 2pm on Thurston, I was rounding the last curve as I approached my driveway. Traveling around 35mph, a ****ing deer jumped out. I scrubbed as much speed as possible, but I clobbered the poor *******.
I hit it dead center on my car. Stopped the car and checked on it. Still alive, broken back legs, obviously in shock. It was trying to pull itself away from me with it's front legs. I put a single shot into it to end it's suffering.
My car isn't too bad. Front bumper, grill, intercooler, fogs, etc are ****ed. Everything else looks fine.
Here is the evil deer...
![](http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r228/Uber55/deer/evildoe.jpg)
... and the scene of the accident. As you can see, I was damn close to my driveway :frown: The deer jumped from near where my ATV is sitting and was thrown over to it's final resting place.

... I was exiting this corner ...

And now the car...

Deer slayer
Damn Wayne, sorry to hear about your accident. I know exactly how you feel about driving to and from work. I live in a wooded area in Derwood Md and the deer are friggin everywhere- backyard, front yard, driveway...
If you need a good body man I know a great one - I know everyone knows one- but if you do let me know.

Tony, yeah I'd love a recommendation. I was fishing for comments about Euro's bodyshop in another thread I posted today.

Poor E-55! Dirty rotten deer! It did not deserve a quick exit after doing such a wicked deed to a beautiful E-55 (it looks like a Carlsson?). Dirty animal deserved to be run over slowly with your ATV and roasted slowly over charcoal. Open a good bottle of Chianti and garnish it with some flava beans, I believe it is Hannibal Lecter recipe.

Jackpro was messing on that M5 owners are scared of E55s so would do anything to try and make sure there is one less on the road. I thought it was pretty funny.

I brake for moose
Darn it - sorry man to hear about this...
In the many areas and here in the NE area (especially NH and Maine) its moose you have to be really, and I mean really , careful not to hit....they generally die but then so do about 20% of the people hitting them...I used to think the "I brake for Moose" stickers in NH were a funny joke until I saw what damage hitting a Moose does.
They are just tall enough to come over the hood and through the windscreen in an accident - not pretty for them or the passengers in the car...
Anyway - thank goodness you're OK and the damage was (by the pictures at least minimal).
take care (and watch for moose
)

will decide after Iraq
sweet ride man. the deer looks ... well, a bit gamey.
you no doubt shattered her skull and cervical spine on impact. paralyzed and beheft of respiratory drive, she went into respiratory then cardiac arrest. not a good way to go. too bad for the deer. and the amg too...
it would have been better to pull the handbrake, do a lateral slide, then with the window open, unload several .45 rounds into it, blasting the carcass to the wayside. then deftly correct from the slide and roar angrily past the venison and the awestruck M5'ers now quivering in their cashmere sweaters.

i did the same thing except i was going 15mph in my viper around a very sharp blind corner in my neighborhood.
It was midnight and my wife was asleep in the passengers seat. She wakes up to me slamming on the brakes and see's a deer flat on its back on the hood of the viper, legs flailing around like its trying to run away!!!
she screams at the top of her lungs and as the car slams to a halt ,the deer slides off the freashly waxed car like it was on a slip and slide-LOL
my house was only 400yards away so i get home to see the damage and only find a few hairs on my hood vents!!! I was lucky that the viper is so low cause it cut the deer off at the ankles-hehehehe
