Cams vs. Gears?

.....Stock....3.07.....2.82
1....52.4.....45.2.....49.2
2....85.9.....74.1.....80.7
3....133,4...115.1....125.3
4....188.1...162.3....176.7
5....226.6...195.6....212.9
So 3.07 is pretty agressive ... especially in 1st. There is a ~13% diff throughout... traction is definately going to suffer here unless we mod rears to 335's and cut into boot & fender....
But it should run very sweetly from a roll....

I believe the E500 4Matic comes with 3.07.
However, ya'll would need to double check the specifics on your cars.
Here' the first potential "gotcha" - the big hp AMG's have a "4 bolt stars" on the drivetran and axle yokes, low hp cars have three. Which may or may not be interchangeable between E-class configs (spline counts differing would be a show stopper).
Sorry for being admittably selfish ... I started trying to find a consistent silver bullet for all of the 55K's on this topic, but then I punted and followed the specific CL/S config when I realized I couldn't find an easy solution that applied to all.
For me, I get lucky that many of the drivetrain part numbers for the CL are tagged "220" - S class.
