I cannot relate to jangy, I know guys with wifes' that don't want their men spending money, but you say you never talk price? So she's giving the ok based on what she like from the looks dept? weird-
But at least you can play, that's better than some men have to deal with -LOL
I just come home with new cars and get the "WTF did you buy now look" from my wife and the "you know,there are people that only have 1 car to drive" lecture later in the evening. Although she never seems to complain about driving around in nice cars!!!

Nah, we don't talk price because I make enough. The part that we do talk about is the practicality of having 3 cars (which this would be my third plus she has one) and the fact that it is a 2 seater. That is really the part she uses against me. She runs the guilt trip. My kids have only been in the E a few times, but they are still why I got it over a 996TT back in the day. Actually, the only reason she is ok with the 997 is because of the back seats (lol). In the end, I always do whatever and I do get the WTF did you do look and it goes away. I'm sure this will be no different.

I understand how you feel as I am in your exact position. For my M6, I had to lie to the wife that I am picking up an BMW M Coupe. You always report your catch AFTER you took delivery is the key here. Once I took delivery on Thursday, I showed her the car, she thought it looked gorgeous, I told her it's an M6, she freaked for a minute, but I promised her I will get her something nice for Christmas, and she was ok with it. For me, it's all about how to play the game smart, with 9 cars under our possession, 10th coming in 3 weeks (ML63), we both agreed that it's time to stop buying more before moving into Long Island in 2-3 yrs.
