ScangaugeII IAT and MAP output
Fitted my scangauge and watched IAT's and Manifold pressure (MAP) quite avidly on a drive recently...
IAT's did not go above 36degC ... ambient was around 12.5degC ... so cold day and not many back to back blasts. It generaly sat in the 23-28 range most of the time.
MAP ranged from ~2.5 to max of ~25.3 PSI with mostly a peak of 24.3 seen - so measure is absolute - so if air pressure is around 14.7 PSI (I am very close to sea level) ... I am boosting about 9.6 PSI (max of 10.6 PSI).
Thought it may be of interest.

Steve the IAT seems very reasonable - some on the forum have been much higher if I recall correcty. Can you say where in the system the IAT is measured? Is it the same for all year E55's? Any idea how tonow if the pump/IC is working by examining the IAT...what would be an indicator of trouble??
Thanks
(as soon as I have my ASP in (wed should happen...give me the weekend due to Thanksgiving holidays to post) I will let you know how it went for me...)

I would expect it to be all the same ... and should be after the intercooler ... i.e. temp going into the chamber...
My car only has 4000miles so doubt the I/C pump is anywhere close to faulty ... temps here harldy get into the 30's (deg C) ambient so I doubt very much I would have much trouble.
My main concern is how quickly the ECU adapts....

Its rather ugly at mom with wires running externally. The unit sits with velcro on top of the steering column between the steering wheel and the instrument cluster ... fits in welll and fairly discrete - although wife did spot it !! At mom have wrapped excess cable around the steering column...
I will run cable under the console soon to make it more stealth. I can simply unplug the SG when not needed, since its attached with velcro and cable can remain in place- unplugs easily.
I really wanted it to get some baseline readings before the ASP pulley mod.
I need to check ignition advance as well on this ... only been watching IAT, MAP, engine load, water temp ... will use water temp spot for engine timing...
Pity I cannot review max min figs on the gauge though.
