My MB dealer tells me that I cannot purchase a Mercedes extended warranty because I am not the original owner. He recommended two third party warranties that are affiliated with insurance companies. One was Allstate and the other I cannot recall. The Allstate warranty was a bit pricey.

What would you guys recommend? I'm wary of non-Mercedes warranties because these outfits have been known to go out of business, in which case the warranty is worthless.

I had a extended warranty through Toyota warranty division on my BMW X5. It was great! In fact, covered more than what was covered with the BMW cpo warranty. Just go with a big company like Toyota or BMW
