I traded in my C55 for an E55 about a month ago and have enjoyed the new car especially the increase in power. However the transmission is quite "clunky" on the E. For example during some gear changes especially downshifts it will make a clunking sound that you can also feel. IN the last few days, I have noticed that if I am in 1st or 2nd gear and step on the gas the transmission seems to hesitate and the engine makes a knocking type noise (like what happens with low octane gas). Is the clunky transmission and noises normal? Is seems to have gotten worse over the last month but maybe I am just fixated on it now. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks

 

Does not sound at all normal. If it is under warranty, take it in. you may have a tq converter issue??
