Wanting to put a nice set of wheels on my 01' E55 which is black.. do you all think this combo would look good???
offset is 30mm front and 35mm rear
thoughts?

i think the propeller type rims are gona be a dissapearing fad. especially with the unsuccess of the McLaren that brought them. i like the color combo tho

Forget about fads, fads are gay. If a style looks good, it will be timeless, and will still look great even after the fad people get sick of them and change to the next fad.

I think this wheel is much nicer than a lot of the stuff people are running around on now.

I agree, but this isn't authentic Lorinser. They're also 18's which, although they look good in pictures, theyll look too small on the car. If you're going for a 2 piece wheel I would say go 19".

It's a faux two piece design, so it's actually a one piece rims with rivets....

I was going to get a set for winter, but decided to stay with the stock rims

I really like them! I like rims that are two colors! something different to look at rather than the same old one color we always see

yes, these are fake wheels, from ebay. they wiegh just as much as the stock wheels and the offset is front: 30mm & rear: 35mm. so its the same as stock. i actually want to stay with 18' so i can use my old tires. this is my DD car and i have 3 other "pimp" mobiles..LOL..so i got plenty of issues with them.

does anyone have pics of these wheels on a car? would appreciate seeing them.. thank you guys!

I think those Lorinser turbine wheels (original or good knockoff) are the best looking third-party non-stock wheels you can get. They look cool; I couldn't disagree with the fellow who says they're a "fad" more. And if you can get 'em cheap, all the better!

Personally, though, I'd think about a black, rather than silver center-cap on a black wheel. Otherwise it looks like a 90's Caprice police car.

Kleemann has a T-06 wheel which is similar, but not painted; it also has a spun aluminum rim which bends pretty easily, as I found out after buying a set.

while there is truth to this, some multi piece (real or fake) designs can make an 18 look even smaller, but remember that we are talking about a W210 here, and i think it should still look acceptable. on a 211 probably not unless the car is dropped.

I think in this particular case, as the spokes extend right to the lip, and with the centres blacked out, i would say it could look quite hot on a W210. And hell if they're cheap why not, you can always sell them if you really dont like them.

well guys, turns out, the wheels will NOT fit! they will not clear the brakes. Good thing the ebay company checked this out before shipping it to me...
Spacers won't work either apparently. im pretty dissapointed, Agreeing with Sly55, i really liked the wheels and i think they would have look awesome on my black W210.

ohh well..anyone know someone selling wheels for a W210 55? in 18". i really want black centered wheels with polished lip....

ok, i found this wheel as a replacement... what do you all think of these??? they are not black, which is unfortunate, but a better look then the stock pancakes...

18x8.5 and 18x9.5, seems like a 1" lip front and 3" lip rear...
and they should clear AMG brakes... soo we'll see..comments?
again, going on a black W210 e55...

they remind me of a brabus style. You cant really go wrong with chrome on black either! Only way to go wrong is cheap a$$ chrome wheels that look tacky. From the pic id say they would look pretty sick!

yea, i think im not going to buy these wheels... Looking for something in black for sure... The issue is finding a wheel that clears the big brakes, and im not in the market to spend thousands of dollars...

just take your amg monos and have them powder coated black, polished lip
they'd look hot, and still be using same tires and more $ in your pocket
