Out Of Control!
From a dig the K4 wins but after 130-140mph the M6 pulls because of their taller gearing.

'03 S55 AMG, '01 CLK55 AMG
C&D runs the E63, M5 (manual) and S6 heads up....
The E63 smokes em all....
E63: 12.6 @ 115
M5 6 speed: 13.0 @ 114
S6: 13.8 @ 104 <--- what a joke.....
Interesting part is that 0-150, the M5 can't pass up the E63...
E63 0-150: 23.3
M5 0-150: 23.4
The E63 beat the M5 in every accerlation test.... 0-60, 0-100, 0-150, 5-60, 30-60, 50-70.....

for what is worth...
the E60 M5 in SMG (based on your figures) is faster than the Manual E60 M5..
the M5 traps consistenly higher than a stock E55 and E63 and most of the times for 1/4 have been a few tenths slower but higher trap speed.
I can't believe the manual only was able to pull a 13.0 at 114.... something is not right. E39 M5 boys run about the same, but their traps are atleast 4 slower.

The M5's speed advantage really manifests itself once the E55 has shifted out of 3rd gear - beyond 120 mph. 4th is a killer for the E55, especially against an M5 that is in a much more favorable 5th gear.
