Options identical? When is build dates. If late '05 (i.e. built in 05) and early '06 (i.e. built in '05), then go for the "cleaner" one. If the '06 is built in '06, then that's too easy. Also, as much as I like to mod cars, I NEVER buy a modded car. I just imagine lots of redlines vs potential normal use.

To each his own. It is basically all the parts off the CLS. They slowly filteredinto the E class. Look up parts for the E55 and you will see that it will say certain ones are NOT for the '06. I forgot what name they gave the ssyetm. i'll look it up.

If you look in the W220 area, there is a thread about the Teleaid system going digital part way through 05.
I just renewed my Teleaid yesterday, and the guy said that part way through 05 they fazed in the digital system. Potentially, if you have the analog system, you will have to upgrade to the digital setup ($1500.00)!!
I have never used the Teleaid, but there are some possibly useful features.
