Blinder vs Lidatek laser diffusers, who's best?
Any members with experience of these two systems? Feedback would be greatly appreciated! Got pulled over again today 89 in a 55. V1 gave me a little brake time, but he got me! My uncle just retired as trooper, and the guy that pulled me over said my days of leniency might be coming to an end. He let me go with a warning, but I don't want to push it in the future.

My experience is that both are essentially worthless. Now just wait for the procession of users who have spent thousands on them and go on to tell you how they were "saved" by them. Any minute now, even though the tests show that if the beam is pointed at any part of the car other than directly at the "blinder", it will return a speed reading.

I'm inquiring about the same thing. I have a k40 in the car(was instaled when I bought it) and had it on "highway mode" the other day when i spotted a sheriff on the side of the freeway while i was doing about 95. The radar didn't go off before I started braking
He didn't get me though

For the units available in the US, the Blinder has usually edged out the Lidatek in head-to-head comparisons. The Blinder/Valentine 1 is one of, if not the best, radar/laser protection combination you can get.
The Antilaser ProPark, which I don't believe is available in the U.S., has also received good reviews.

Oh, and the k40 Calibre is pretty much though of as crap.

Yeah, My uncle just retired 12/06. He has businees cards that he gives us if we get pulled over. The trooper that pulled me over, even asked me if I was going to my uncle's retirement party. However, it's 2/2/07 and I'm going to be in Miami for the superbowl. Most troopers here really look out for each others families. This is actually the third time in 12 months that I got pulled over. Each time they have let me go. But, with my uncle retiring I don't think I can use the get outta jail free card anymore!

Well, I went with the Blinder 40 package. It gives front and rear protection for laser. Should work well with the V1. The installer has an account with a local BMW dealer, and told me that he has installed at least 15 in M cars this year. Got out the door at $850 installed and he offered to spray my plate with the photogard for free! The state police here have been using the photo vans more frequently on the Dan Ryan and I-294. Uncle can't do anything on those tickets. U R guilty. They take your photo and the plate too! Good thing I don't have a front plate, cause I know 2 tickets that would be in my mailbox right now! Anyway, thank you all for your input (good or bad) I appreciate it!

Again folks, read the tests. The jammers only work when the officer points the gun at the jammer reflector and they clearly state that they do, in fact, point the laser gun at the most favorable part of the car where the reflector is mounted. There must be some awfully stupid officers in MI, or the car is COVERED in reflectors. In Ca, most police are very familiar with these devices and they will simply target another part of your car until they get a reading. Yes, you are afforded some level of protection from both Lidatek and Blinder, but like all lasers guns, they only work when the laser is stationary. The beam is quite large at a distance, but up close, a savy officer is going to bust you every time. Just look out for any car on the side of the road as a potential threat and slow down. Radar detectors are another story entirely. I use a Passport 8500 and that definitely gives you time to slow down.

I don't think that it would work for a Florida trooper though! Maybe I will start my own Trooper get-outta-jail free cards service, like Vrus! Instead of bond cards, members could pay me for duplicate, oops..... I mean AUTHENTIC Trooper business cards from different states!

Don’t go crazy getting pieces of paper to get you out of tickets. Times are changing as far as “courtesy” goes in the blue lines of patrol. There are many states where there is NO courtesy between officers from different departments. They even get off on seeing who can write up more police officers from out of town.
