e55 KILL!!!!
Yesterday, I was driving my dads 05 SL500, due to the fact that my car is currently in the shop. I was getting on to the 5 freeway in OC.
All of a sudden, I see a charcoal 03 or 04 "E55 AMG" pull right in front of me in the next lane. It actually looked pretty decent, it had a full lorinser kit including the fenders. It also had 20 inch staggered setup in black. From first impression, this was a pretty clean E55.
So finally, we pull up next to each other at the red light on the on ramp. Just for ****s and giggles, when the light turned green, I floored it, and ironically, so did he. Keep in mind, this is a bone stock SL500 with big Lowenharts on it.
I beat him, and boy I beat him bad. I was confused
Finally, he catches up to me about a minute later, and passed me.
As he passed me, I finally saw his brakes.
only then I realized he had E320 brakes, painted red, and boy, was that funny. He must of felt like a real jack ***. I just thought Id share that with everybody, beacuse it was so dang funny.
The worst part is, the car looked really clean with the kit and everything, why go ruin it and put e55 AMG badge on the back
Right away, it reminded me of that snoopdizzle guy

Youre right, he probably could have gotten the real deal, with all the money he spent on it.

Oh in the OC- there are several poser units rolling- yesterday I saw a CL with V8 Kompressor badges on the side and CL55 badges in the rear but it only had single exhausts on each end- it was a pre 2003 CL55 or post 2002 CL500.

For some reason, I see a lot of CL cars like that around here too. The Cl 500 is a nice car just the way it is. I dont understand it either.
Be happy you got the CL, and foget about it.

I just dont understand it... The people who are going to be impressed by the fact that its an E55 know what an E55 is, so why bother? It just makes you look like an idiot having fake badges. Appreciate what you have for what it is I say.

I had a fake C55 park right next to me a few months back. I came out from the movies and couldn't believe the fool. Tiny brakes and all. Inside it was a huge and defenitly fake Louie handbag. Tacky. You've got what you've got.
