I got my Piaa 9006 bulbs in, do I need to jack the car up and change it underneath? Help me out here, thanks!

I had to jack mine up in order to reach the bulbs. You'll see an access door on the black plastic belly pan below your fog lights. Just unlatch the door and pry it open and you'll have access to your bulbs. Make sure you clean your bulbs with rubbing alcohol right before you install it. Any oil from your fingertips could cause the bulb to burn out prematurely.

Other options. I drive mine to a ledge in a parking lot and go until the front wheels are near the edge, leaving the front "hanging" over. Another is to jump one side of the car up on a curb (like at a driveway). If you turn off the elm and raise the car, it is plenty of room to crawl up under either side.
Ramps? Be careful for your lip.
Lift?

Where'd you get the bulbs? Post me the exact part #, so I can do it, too. Take before and after pics. You doing the lights next to the headlights, too?

I forgot about the high beams. Are they yellowish, too? I rarely use my fogs, but I'll do all.

Yo jay I think you just need to do a temp raise with the module and put the console button to the higher setting and you should be able to get underneath. I was able to but I think your car is a little lower than mine.

Which Piaa's do you have, I got the 8000k HB's.

Thanks boss, I have a jack and will do it tomorrow. I got the Piaa 9006 4000K extreme white bulbs, and my city lights Piaa H222 is arriving Tuesday. Thanks to Vader for the info.

I think you will like the 4000k but they are a bit white for my taste. You can get more bluish bulb in the 6000k family or even 7500k spark blue. Check out this site- its in Hong Kong but I have ordered several bulbs there:

No Jack Needed

You can sit on your butt and do it by feel or lay a blanket down. The Fog access covers open with a 1/2 turn screw. Just turn til one of the flat sides allow flap to open. 1/2 turn counter clockwise releases the bulb. Don't touch new bulb. Rhere is usually a bit of foam that they come packed with. Use that if you need to handle it.

The city lamp is UNDER the High Beam. High Beam socket is tan in color. 1/2 twist counter clockwise will release bulb. City is black plug under High Beam...1/2 turn release with a long socket to poll out.Pop bulbs in...you are on your way. All colors very similar and you are the hit of the neighborhood !

Ok I popped them in, waiting for the city bulbs to come in next week then it should be complete. Glad I didn't break anything this time

Vic, please post pics of your 7000k bulbs, it might be a closer match with the xenons since it has that bluish color.

Anyone got before pics. I didn't know my fog lights weren't white.

Jerry: I talked to my boy a while back and he said he could only get the entire thing. He said he'd give me the 25% off retail, but i never got em. Let me know if you want them. I don't even know what retail is, but I thought it was in the $300 range.

No..they are not PIAA...they are actually HALO...I can't find them in a search either ! I went out and looked to make sure. I got them at Car Boutique in Schaumburg Illinois...they said these were a new mfg. Made in Japan. They just started carrying them...pretty sure they have a website but I would guess any H7 in 7500k would be the same. What temperature are the BiX ? anyone know ????
