Nitto Invo
I was wondering if anybody here had or tried the Nitto Invo tires... The pattern kinda looks like 1/2 street tire and 1/2 slick ?? Also anybody try their version of slicks ? The NT01 ?? Thanks
P.S. if you watch the video for the NT01 there is a guy with a modified E55 trying the tires. Here's the link

I may get flamed for saying this, but why would anyone put Nitto tires on their Mercedes over the top brands? I'm not bashing Nitto by any means, but its clear that they are trying to appeal more to imports and domestics, just look at their website with all the anime and "fast and the furious" type cars... do they even have any real racing experience? I'd say go with Michelin PS2 for daily use, and Toyo Proxes (RA1 is somewhat popular on E55) or Yokohama Advan for street/track.

The famous 295 "wiggle" was 100% the PS2's...and was the culprit on at least 1/2 dozen E55's. Mine got so bad, that accelerating at higher speeds, the car wanted to "launch" me into the weeds on the side of the highway
I changed to Bridgestone 050A and the problem 100 percent solved

No I will be trying the Nitto NT-01 tire soon. I hear great things and the local tire rep said its a revised version of the RA-1. He actually said you can run them reversed and with the wrong side facing out without having any issues. This helps for track driving as swapping left right can save the tires a great deal sometimes.
The NT-01 uses the same basic tread compound as the RA-1 but has a new core design and sidewall for better stability and steering response.
Nitto makes some great tires for the price these days.

How are the NT01 compared to BFG DR ? I currently have BFG DR but I just took them off and put my 20's on then noticed on the inside side wall was cracked on the BFG DR ?? I wonder why they cracked ??

If you want off the line grip I would stick to the DR radial tires. If you want something to pull 1g in the middle of a corner go for the NT-01's. I can give a full report on the tire soon but they are not on the car yet. In the mail and mounted and ballanced for the next track event.
