Do you guys know the boost of the stock 55 Kompressor engine?

 

11.6psi is what the crankshaft will deliver. The intercooler is very inefficient so the motor only sees 6.5 - 7psi.

I'm just trying to catch up on this topic. I am new to MB's but not boost. What do you mean by saying the crankshaft will deliver 11.6psi? The pulley on the SC is actually responsible for developing boost by truning the the screws inside the SC -- albeit driven by the crank via the belt.

I can appreciate a pressure drop across the intercooler but almost 6psi of drop is HUGE! Usually there's only a 1-2 psi drop at most.

So, I'd like some clarification as well. What final boost numbers can I expect on my 55 Kompressor engine in my CLS55 AMG?

My scan tool reads more like 10 in/Hg which is about 5psi at WOT through 4k rpm.

can someone explain what actually happened to Vrus? Wasn't he manufacturing parts at some point that people were going coo coo for cocopuffs?
