I was amazed.
Now, JodyE55Rocket and I have been talking about this Hi speed run thing and another friend of mine you might know from Jamaica W.I. with a turbocharged Lexus IS300 and we'd really like in. PM me when able! Thanx!
PS I will be talking to my friend Wayne as well about bringing his GT2 and we have Twin turbo AMG C36 owned by a MB mech and another Big "single"Turbocharged C36 that's owned by another MB mechanic that would be interested. Let's talk and see what we can do.

1- Carbon Fibre Roof which saves 200 lbs
2- better aerodynamics
They do share the same engin
the M6 is really realy fast especially at the top end

Now i know not to believe Jeremy Clarkson when he says " get the M5 , its cheaper better looking and has the same performance as the M6"

I called this guy this morning, turns out he is a good friend of my brother. He is selling his brand new M6 ( done 2500 miles) due to financial reasons. I am test driving it tonite. Will post my impression when i am done. I have saved some funds for another car... lets see.

Here's a tip
Tell him to activate the MDM ( M Dynamic mode for you) with S6 Tramsmisson speed on the SMGIII ( which will give you a 60 millisec gear shift) with the damper setting in sport and let it rip.......................I'll say no more

WOW, that M6 is ballz fast. I would be very interested to see how it would do from 150-190 against a C6Z...it may beat it. If I ever got rid of the E55 I think the M6 is the car to have even if its slower than the C6Z.

I have lined up a Ruf 550 and we're going to do some high speed runs and what you just mentioned should work well.....
timed runs from 150mph to 190 ish....
Glad you liked the video and you were impressed with the top end speed
I really did this because alot of car magazines never really show cased the M6's top end speed.

Ok... heres what i think.
First and foremost, the top end of this car is AMAZING!! it goes as fast top end as it goes on the low. I didnt feel the initial push i get in the E55, but it makes up for it at 3rd gear or so. The handling is a lil better but the E55 feels more airy and easy to look out from.
I was really impressed with this car, its a lil less practical than the E55 but provides a different flavor of driving pleasure.
From now on, i will NEVER compare an E55 with an M6... to me, they r both different cars.
My fav M car has always been the E46 M3. Not anymore.

Just a couple notes on M5 vs M6... not understanding why the M6 is "Faster" by any standard. it weighs 100 lbs less, not 200 (2.5% difference) which means nothing at speeds over 120mph. Secondly, the M6 has a HIGHER Coefficient of drag, as I suspected. Anything longer will have lower drag. .31 vs .32. 3rd, gearing is identical.
Does the M6 have magic fairy dust? BMW hiding something? or is it just falling with conditoins/driver/margin of error? I'm curious.

I don't know the reason....other than the weight difference and consequent higher power to weight ratio
All I know is that its faster. Both good cars though
