i feel the same as you it will get fixed. question though you got the renntech long tube headers? thoes arnt even tested yet! are you the tester? iwas waitin for them but they couldnt give a date so i went supersprint instead. maybe something is wrong with the headers or like someone else said removing the cats caused a power decrease. eith way keep us posted on renntech service!

Cosm,
How much horsepower and torque do you think you are missing? According to Renntech's website, a RT5 should put out about 485hp and 521 ft-ib.

I am hoping to get at least into the 500 hp considering I have the long tube headers and cats removed also I will be getting the bigger pulley when it arrives so that should also be good for a little more HP will keep you updated

They are not sure until I bring my car back to them, I needed it back so they didn't have time to figure it out but when I drop it off next week they will be able to play with it some more.

removing the primary cats and leaving the stock 400 count restrictive secondary cats should not decrease backpressure enough to account for that much missing power. i've got long tubes, much better crossover, 200 cell high flow cats in the secondary cat position, no resonators...and i've got BUTT LOADS of tq from my set up.

In comparo to our Moroso track day
1/8 7.503
mph 95.1
1/4 11.69
mph 122.4
The biggest glaring problem is your trap speed!!
Are you running HEAVY rims by any chance? "HUGE-heavy-a$$ 20's?"

I thought the dyno was off ...but at Moroso in 73 degree weather and stock rubber I was consistently running traps of 122.2 - 122.9. This tells me the
dyno #'s were/are pretty close!
I've had a couple of occasions on 50 degree mornings to click off 125-126mph
1/4 trap speeds!
I don't feel mine is a true example of a Kleemann Stage 3.. ..Sorry

Thanks but to be forthright, my car's performance #'s are a "freak" of nature where everything just came together. Can't explain it really!!

Do you have a picture of the RT long tube headers? Do they look similiar to the Kleemann headers?

Ken,..............125-126mph? and I thought my 124.6mph was strong. Were those runs with a g-tech or do you have time slips?
Also, why don't you believe your car is a "true example" of K3.

Sean,
RT's numbers are always alot lower than the competition. They tune on the very conservative side. Every dyno I've seen of a post-RT car is always moderately higher than a stock dyno and always much lower than the Kleemann, Evosport, MKB dynos.
Looking at your dyno, I think your torque curve is very low considering the mods you have. I think the tuning needs some revision because you should be in the 580rwtq range with your level of mods and HP should be over 500rwhp.
Do a datalog and just double check your IAT to make sure that pump they put in is working properly.

What's the deal with the torque #'s and upgrades ??? I have noticed in other posts that a stock dyno will show like 50-60 more torque than hp but when the cars get modded the hp goes up but the torque only goes up a little for instance somebody posted that their car dynoed stock 420HP and 474 ft.lb that's a difference of 54 and on a RT stage 5 the numbers were 500hp and 529 ft.lb so only a difference of 29 ??
Does the torque # have anything to do with more performance ?? Like one of our board members Fikse has a dyno of 456.27 hp and 503.49 tq and he ran an 11.66 on street tires and I have 475hp and 501 tq and ran a best of 11.89 on SLICKS !!

Sure, going to big will hurt power by decreasing exhaust velocity. Going too small will decrease flow and will also hurt power. The same applies to an intake system.

I still insist that guys look at Chiromikey's exh system as the perfect build.

Hey Sean - Those 1/4mi. #'s are definitely LOW!!!Your 330' is good but from there.....it's just not as it should be. Was it a HOT day???

1/4 11.69

Then they need to make sure the pump for your heat exchanger is working. You have some mean mods there. I hope they find out what's going on then. Good luck!

I've found my speedo to be VERY ACCURATE as I tested it @Moroso the night we rented the track. I'm a little spoiled to have these Hiway Patrol stripes..................makes me think they painted them just for me.
You can also look at your post "Proof Positive" about the 80mm TB. In that post I even mentioned that I was seeing 122'ish on the speedo in 75 degree weather.........and that's EXACTLY what I did at the track a few weeks later. Is the speedo method w/1/4 mi stripes a little crude???.......YES.......but for me it's accurate enough in judging mods and performance.
As to the beast being a little "freak of nature" .....when I look at yours and mine with the K3, I tend to feel that we both got lucky!!!
I've only seen a FEW Stage 3 packages doing the traps that our 2 cars do.
