The video sure brings to light all the perils associated with drag racing albeit the vehicles shown are just a tad more powerful than their street counterpart

OMG!! That was by far THE best NHRA compilation I have ever seen!
It's unbelieveable to say the least. The music is absolutely perfect!

There are sooo many amazing seens that I don't even know which one to comment on, but here are a few:

- Car crashed into side wall, engine flies out and bounces out of the car several times like it's a freakin ball.

- Wheel comes off the car, flies I'd say at least 150 feet into the air and ends up a 1/4 mile away in the parking lot probably destroying a bunch of cars. Just goes to show you how much torque these amazing things really have.

I used to think things like NHRA were a huge waste of time and money. But when you think about it, these are the guys that are really pushing the limits of what you can do on land. And sooner or later that information will actually become useful from what we learn from it. I do agree though that you can't pay these guys enough money. I doubt even half though dudes survived any of the crashes.

Actually I think they all survived.....thats the best part . NHRA rules make those cars very safe.

Very true, NHRA is constantly updating their chassis certification specs to best meet the safety requirement for individual classes.
Sometimes they do go over the top as the case of re-certifying 10.5 Outlaw thus making the previous dual rail chassis obsolete.
