GM will never buy Chrysler. They already know they own too many companies as it is.

This is all rumor based on the other rumor that Mercedes will dump Chrysler....which is just a ploy to drive up stock shares. And it has.

I don't believe it would affect MB's at all, the products/components go from MB to Chrysler/Dodge, not the other way around. These rumors should drive up stock, since the american side of the operation is the one with massive inventories and slowing product sales. Another rumor going around is that GM will team up with Chrysler and Dodge to build some sort of large SUV platform, since GM has extra capacity at their SUV plant. Just my .02

2010 RRS ; BMW K1200R; 14 E350 ; 14 RRS on order
It would only help MB if GM buys. GM just sold their financing arm last year (GMAC) so that's not why. And it's not like Chrystler cars are doing well so that's not it. A merger between GM and Chrystler would mean a loss of over 100,000 jobs which is a disaster.

I am going to sell DCX while the rumor is still alive cause I am sure Chrystler will *** out eventually and that'll be the day it'll fall 10 points. Today was a very lucrative day though.
