If you install a new battery (2003 E55), does the resulting power interruption require an ECU reflash? Does this mean we all must eventually subject ourselves to the potential power loss and "relearning" issues that accompanied the ECU reflash problems some of us experienced last year?

No reflash needed,the memory is stored in the ECU,though you will have to reset the clock.
